Damian J. McDonald is an artist based in the Pacific Northwest and his current work focuses primarily on graphite creature illustrations. His drawings stem from an everlasting love of nature, animals of varying species, years of studying biology, and an insatiable curiosity and imagination. The combination of those events led to the creation and/or discovery of a large and diverse collection of otherworldly creatures. Research is currently being done to learn more about their behaviors, markings, social patterns, feeding habits, and complex biological structures. Some of our preliminary research and findings have been published on August 18, 2018. For more information click The Creatures of Holanium 1.
Other less important information regarding the artist: Damian began his career in 2001 with commercial multimedia production, and now also teaches beginning to advanced multimedia and graphic design courses in the Media Arts department at Lane Community College.
